THE HAS BIN is the oldest and largest children's consignment shop in the Pittsburgh area. It was created in 1992 by a family who believed budget savvy parents needed an alternative way to clothe their children. In the twenty eight years since, THE HAS BIN has had several owners, all that shared the same vision. In 2011, THE HAS BIN was purchased by one of its long-time consignors.
By offering a consignment environment, you can be sure that THE HAS BIN's products are clean, recall checked and of better quality than what is offered at a donation based business. We do NOT offer cash for items. Consignment means that the owner (consignor) of the items for sale receives 40% of the selling price when the item is sold. This is a much higher percentage than resale shops that buy your items outright for 5-10% of what your items are worth! We at THE HAS BIN are extremely particular about what we accept and it shows in the quality of the items available for purchase.
Unlike many other children consignment/resale shops, THE HAS BIN is registered with the PA Department of Upholstery and sprays and tags ALL fiberfill items/furniture with Steri-Fab (www.sterifab.com) for your peace of mind as well as your children's protection.
THE HAS BIN can provide your family with gently used (very often NEW) infant through teen clothing, shoes, accessories, toys, recall-checked baby equipment and furniture, and maternity clothing that won't leave you in sticker shock.
